In 2016, I had the opportunity to photograph working
cowboys. This is something that has been on my Bucket List for a long
time. This came about when the
Hideout
Ranch in Shell, WY put on a Cowboy (girl) Photographic Workshop. The
workshop was led by
John Barclay
and Dan Sniffin.
The workshop
consisted of photographing wranglers (working cowboys and girls) feeding,
herding, and riding in some of the most scenic areas of Wyoming. We also
photographed individuals posing, and other things around the ranch.
While in Wyoming, I
also photographed areas around Cody as well as the northern area of
Yellowstone National Park. In Yellowstone, we traveled by snowmobile.
Starting from Madison to West Yellowstone to Old Faithful, we covered over
120 miles in nine hours. When we started the temperature was 10 degrees;
however, it did warm up to 12 degrees.

very small portion of my 10 day trip in which I shot over 4000 images.
