Walk a short way into the tunnel
and shoot back towards the entrance - Using a flash will light up the walls |

Be aware of the condensation in
the tunnel - you may want to cover your camera and lens |

Take a flashlight and walk all
the way to the end and photograph the old door |

Wear old shoes, the inside of the
tunnel may have water on the path |

To the right of the entrance,
there is an old railroad flatbed car that is great for HDR shots |

From the parking lot, cross a footbridge on right
(facing the tunnel) to a small lake with a gazebo - Interesting photos with fallen trees in the water |

While in the park, consider photographing Issaqueena Falls |
Driving and other Tips
From Walhalla, drive west on SC
28 for 6.9 miles. Turn right at the sign for Stumphouse Tunnel Park.
Park and walk across the footbridge on the west side of the parking
lot. |

The Park is open daily from 10am
to sunset (DST) except Christmas Day and inclement weather. There is
a $5 parking fee and a fee to reserve the large picnic shelter |
