Photo Suggestions
The falls are very visible from
the road. After you park, you can shoot from the road, but your better shots are climbing or sliding over some big rocks to get down near the water (about 10 feet - not dangerous). Once you are close to the water, be sure to
turn around and shoot several shots of the river. In the fall,
it is beautiful. |

During the summer you should visit early in the morning if you want solitude, but go in the afternoon if you want to people-photograph. The rocks near the falls collect snow to make a serene winter setting. |
Driving Tips and Other Information
Bust Your Fall Falls on US
Highway 64 about 6.5 miles west of Highlands and about 3 miles from
Dry Falls). It's about 10 miles from Franklin (very visible on the
right). There's no street address for GPS. |

Quarry Falls is a often
overlooked 20-foot high, multi-tiered cascade in the Cullasaja River
Gorge. But, they are an extremely popular site with locals and
tourists for swimming and picnics during warmer weather. |

Consider visiting some other
falls when you are in the area;
Dry Falls,
Bridal Veil Falls and
Cullasaja Falls. |
