The mill is location very close
to the road, so you will have to stand in the road to photograph the
front side. Traffic is light on the road, but still be careful
|

The mill from both the front and
back side offer good photo opportunities

There is a creek behind the mill
that has some interesting photos possibilities

|
Standing in front of the mill,
look across the street, there is an old barn with a driveway leading
to it.

Use GPS or a mapping program to
get to the location

From Pickens, take 178 North
approximately 3 miles. Turn left onto Gravely Road, go approximately
3 ½ miles to end of road. Turn right on Meece Mill Rd. Mill is ¼
mile on right.

|
Note: Meece Mill no longer
processes grits, flour and meal but has been preserved as a placid,
creekside retreat. Nearly all of the original equipment is still in
the mill. |
